Nato e vissuto nel Rostland, Saphutos è un elfo curioso che, per passione della conoscenza, si è trasferito nella città di Stragave per studiare e scoprire qualcosa in più sulla storia della propria razza. Contrariamente a molti della sua razza non tratta con inferiorità coloro che non sono uguali a lui.

I suoi genitori sono originari del Kyonin (come la quasi totalità degli elfi di Golarion) ma la loro sete di conoscenza li ha spinti verso il Rostland con la benedizione della loro patria. È in questa terra che lui è nato ed è cresciuto.

In qualità di storici, sono interessati al ritrovamento di reperti che aiutino a ricostruire le altezze raggiunte dalla cultura elfica pre cataclisma/era delle tenebre, definitivamente stroncata dall’allora nascente signore delle tenebre Treezarer. Un compito arduo, se non fosse per le vicine Terre Rubate*, che ad oggi, risultano essere ancora terreno incontaminato se si vuole scavare nella storia.

Premendo sull'interesse che i kyoniti hanno per gli Aiudare (portali elfici) sparsi in tutta Golarion, Saphutos, che oramai porta avanti il lavoro dei suoi genitori, ha raggiunto un accordo:
in cambio di una formale raccomandazione in qualità di consulente di magia arcana, al servizio delle autorità di Stagrave, notificherà prontamente ogni presenza di portali dormienti (o non ancora registrati) direttamente alle autorità kyonin.
Il documento che gli permette di lavorare a Stagrave è eccezionalmente firmato dal lord sindaco Sellimius di Restov in persona, un autorità e esempio di condotta per ogni rostlandese che si rispetti.
Non è conoscio dei rapporti che esistono tra il governo di Restov e quello del Kyonin, ma se la corte della regina elfica Edasseril si è data tanto disturbo, potrebbe significare che bolle qualcosa di grosso in pentola.
La cosa più importante per lui però, ora, è il poter portare avanti i suoi studi onorando l'impegno con le autorità di Stagrave.
